Officials at Ajman Tourism Development Department have announced the target of raising the number of hotel guests to over 700,000 annually and approximately 2.2 million guest hotel nights by 2019 – a whopping increase of 64 per cent.

The department also seeks to boost the emirate’s hotel occupancy rate of 80 per cent by 2021 to meet the goals of Ajman Vision 2021.

Updating of administrative procedures, reinforcement of cooperation with government authorities and private sector partners, plus an increase in tourism campaigns were all cited as plans for achieving the goals by Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, director-general of ATDD.
