UAE integrated facilities management firm Emrill has appointed Sally Harrison as  head of business development and work winning

Harrison brings over ten years experience in business development, programme management and strategic development to Emrill as well as a solid understanding of political frameworks developed through working for the UK Government and in various private sector roles.

Commenting on Harrison’s appointment, Alex Davies Emrill Managing Director, said “Following a thorough selection process, Sally was identified as the strongest candidate to lead Emrill’s strategic business development and work winning department through its next stage of growth. She will be able to apply her expertise, her inter-personal and negotiation skills along with a fresh approach and strategic edge to drive forward the development aspect of our business which is currently achieving significant year on year growth.”

Harrison began with Carillion, Emrill’s UK shareholder in 2005, working as regional manager on a Government energy efficiency programme. This led into a secondment into UK Government holding a number of senior policy positions. Following this, Harrison returned to Carillion to work on a number of strategy and business development roles. Accepted onto Carillion’s leadership programme in January 2016, Harrison undertook an international placement in Muscat, Oman working on Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), later relocating to Dubai to assume the newly formed head of business development and work winning role at Emrill’s Dubai head office.

Harrisons’ past achievements include the development of a five year strategy to grow Carillion’s Services UK business to achieve  £1.6b (Dh 7.1b), managing a cost reduction program in Oman to successfully reduce total contract cost book by 20%, and representing the company on UK government advisory panels, such as the Fuel Poverty Advisory Group, and the Department of Energy and Climate Change stakeholder groups.

Sally Harrison holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations from London Guildhall University and an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS in London, as well as a CIM Diploma in Marketing from North Tyneside College and APM Certificate in Project Management.

Harrison is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of PR and British Institute of Facilities Management.
